Susan Haskell
My husband, Josh, and I live with our two dogs, Hudson, a seven year old Lab and Quincy, a five year old rescue Aussie. I discovered agility after leaving my equestrian world of 25 years where I trained both hunters and jumpers. I needed a connection to another animal when I left horses, and found it with dogs. I trained my first dog, a Lab, to the master’s level in AKC before she retired with an injury. Since then I have worked with my other Lab (AKC Excellent), a Giant Schnauzer (now AKC Excellent), a Rhodesian Ridgeback (AKC Novice), a Weimaraner (AKC Open), and my rescue Aussie who now has her Mach Title and has qualified for Nationals in 2013. My mentors, to whom I am extremely grateful, have been Denise Thomas, Susan Garrett, and Debbie Sacerich. I have been teaching agility since 2007 (Beginners through Advanced), in addition to being a legal assistant in my husband’s office. Of course, I’d rather be with the dogs….
