Lynn Wickens
My name is Lynne Wickens and I have been showing dogs on and off since 1966. My first dog was a wired haired fox terrier named JohnJohn (CH Wickens JohnJohn of Dickwyre). I started showing him when I was 11 years old. I learned how to hand strip a wire fox and showed him to a Championship in 6 months. I also was the number one Junior handler for my age group for that year even though I only competed for 6 months. After losing him I had another wire fox followed by a rescue Miniature Schnauzer named Mitzy. I trained her to do obedience, but unfortunately, she passed away before we could get her title. I then had a cocker spaniel (Boo) that received his CD. After Boo got his title life changed and a only showed on and off for a few years.
I started getting serious about showing again when I got my first Westie in 2004. Mooremannor Whiteliss CD RA MXP5 MXPS MJP2 XFP CGC (MacGregor) and later MACH8 PACH2 Wicken's Macgregor O'Riley CD RA FDC MXS5 MJB4 MXP17 MXPS2 MJP8 MJPG PAX3 MFG TQX MFP TQXP T2B5 CGC (O’Riley). O’Riley became my heart dog and my number one agility partner. O’Riley qualified for Nationals every year he competed in agility and was the number One Westies for 6 years at the regular level and 2 years at the preferred level and has been invited to Invitationals 8 times. He obtained over 150 titles in obedience, rally and agility. I now have a little girl that we bred PACH3 Mixolydian Mayhem's Annies' Mystic Celtic Rose RA FDC MX MXJ MXP9 MXPG MJP12 MJPB2 PAX3 XF MFPB TQXP T2BP2 BCAT. At 5 years old she has been the number one westie for two years and has qualified for nationals twice. This year she is the number one Preferred westie and is on her way to Florida for the 2022 AKC Invitational. I have also taken PACH Bitz Of Morning Mayhem RN FDC MXP9 MXPG MJP8 MJPG PAX XFP CA CGC TKI and PACH Mayhem's Finvarra RI FDC OA NAJ MXP6 MXPS MJP5 MJPS PAX NF XFP CGC and Caymen Bluff's Destinys Charm RN AX OAJ MXP6 MXPS MJP5 MJPS PAX NF OFP CGCto the Master Level. I have even run a 24” dog to the master level. I am also just starting with 3 other westies in agility and rally Merlin, Annie and Torri. I enjoy training all levels of agility, obedience and rally. I have taken seminars and private lessons from Susan Crank, Loretta Muller, Judy Kolva, Pat Holeran and just recently Marco Giavoni from the USA Europen Team. I have been training agility, rally, obedience, TDI testing and bgininng training for assistance dogs at other locations for 3 years. I look forward to training here at Canine Affair. |
