I knew Amy for approx 4 short years and she was one of the kindest, most understanding, and "tactfull" trainers I have met in my years training dogs. No matter how silly my Keeshonden were -be it Molly Bean and all her "flirting" with every living thing at the training center, Andie who seemed "out of control" but was just nuts to please me or my youngest, Danee, who loved Amy and loved to come to class -Amy could find positive things to say about them all. Danee especially frustrated Amy because she wanted Danee in obedience NOT conformation because she showed so much "promise" in obedience. She understood my Mickee who is a "soft" dog like River - she felt Mickee could go all the way and tho I emailed Amy when Mickee did get her CDX, I am afraid Amy was too sick to share our accomplishment. Amy will remain in our hearts and prayers until we meet up again at the Rainbow Bridge. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tim and River too -if they ever need anything....call

Tim, it was an honor to do this for you, Amy, your family and friends. Thank you for thinking of us and for allowing Canine Affair to be part of celebrating Amy's gentle spirit.

I am in shock. I just found out today and I am not even sure what to say. She had a gentle soul and spirit. Amy helped me with Dink and was always so supportive. I will really miss her.

I can't come to the memorial meeting, but I want everyone who loved Amy to know how much she was appreciated as an instructor and as a competitor. She was a gentle woman who knew how to patiently get the best from her dogs. I will miss her.

I loved to watch Amy work her dog at the club or in a trial. I was fortunate to have trained with her as the instructor in utility. She was very helpful to a newbie, and willing to share tips to improve my dog's performance. She will be sorely missed.
