About Ann
I have been training dogs for 12 years and have titled my Labrador Retrievers in 6 sports in 4 venues.
My first dog, Miles, got his UD, MACH and RAE. He also earned his World Cynosport ARCHMX and a number of C-WAGS Obedience, Rally and Scent titles.
My younger dog, Hartley, has is UDX and is closing in on his Obedience Master. He also has his C-WAGS Obedience Championship and his TEAM 1 title. In agility, he is closing in on his MACH3 and TQX. He has his Junior Hunter and a Dock Junior.
I guess I fell in love with training dogs! I love to help them learn. My training style is based largely on what I have learned at Fenzi Dog Sports Academy (more than 30 courses!). I have found that if we make training fun, our dogs are usually game and open to new information and trying new things. If a dog is struggling with a concept usually means they don’t understand and it becomes a puzzle to solve. The dog’s behavior provides information. We just need to figure what our dogs are telling us so we can figure out a different way to show them what we want them to learn. That’s the interesting part.
