The first video we have added is a demonstration of the turns added to CWAGS last year performed by Heather Lampman.

River Earns her UDX PDF Print

Amy LaMoreaux and  Border Collie "River"  finished their UDX on May 23 at the Newcastle Kennel Club obedience trial  in Newcastle, PA.  In order to earn the UDX title, the dog and handler must qualify in both Open B and Utility B on the same day, same trial for one leg, and accomplish this very difficult feat 10 times!!  In spite of the rather unusual ring conditions (sunlight shining on the nearby buildings and creating really bright glare) and the very warm temperatures, they did it!!   River is now    "Hob Nob Creekside Bonfire UDX HSAs"

A few more brags for Miles PDF Print

Sunday, 05 April 2009 18:44

Grand River Run Genaration "Miles" and I went to CABTC on March 7 and 8 to try AKC Obedience for the first time.  Things went very well on Saturday with a score of 98 1/2!  I could not have been happier!  Sunday was almost as good with a score of 97 and a first place.  I was thrilled!

On March 22, we went to Fortunate Fido in Berea to compete in C-WAGS obedience.  There we qualified in our 4th and final leg needed to earn our Level 2 obedience title (CW-OB2). There we got a score of 98 1/2 out of 100 and 2nd place.  The exercises required for level 2 C-WAGS are on-leash heeling, off-leash heeling, recall over jump, call to heel, position change, stand for handler exam, leave dog for leash and honor.

Finally, on April 4, we went to YABTC to try for the AKC CD title.  We qualified on saturday with a 184 and Miles got his CD title!  We did go back on Sunday, the 6th to try to improve that score.  We improved our scores in all exercizes but NQ'd when Miles broke his sit.  All in all, I was happy with the improvements, I saw.  I learn something every time I enter the ring so it was worth it.

I want to thank all the experienced dog people who have given me and continue to give me good advice and guidance.
